RSS XML Feed Information

RSS is a format for syndicating news. An RSS feed includes headlines and blurbs.

It is now very common to find RSS feeds on most major web sites, as well as many smaller ones.

Here’s a gem from Bill Flitter of Pheedo:

“RSS is Santa Claus content, delivered to you by the postal carrier, via your own personal remote control ordering system.”

My Coupon Guide provides you with a feed for every merchant we have listed. Each individual store page contains seperate feeds for coupons and deals. Each feed is updated whenever new content is published to the site.

The RSS/XML icon provides a shortcut to the location of the RSS feed.

All coupon and deal feeds will have a link back to the website, so if you see a headline you like, you can click on the link for that piece of content and will be taken to the website to read it.

A program known as a feed reader or aggregator can check RSS-enabled webpages on behalf of a user and display any updated articles that it finds. RSS saves users from having to repeatedly visit favorite websites to check for new content or be notified of updates via email.
